The Hampton Rovers Under 19 Two’s take on Old Camberwell in the Preliminary Final on Sunday morning at Sportscover Arena, Elsternwick Park.

The young Rovers finished sixth on the ladder and recorded a strong 46-point victory over third-placed Oakleigh at Scammell Reserve last Saturday to advance to the second week of finals.

They now face up against division leaders Old Camberwell for a spot in the Grand Final. The match kicks-off at 9:20am at VAFA HQ’s.

The boys had a big night on the track Thursday evening at Boss James Reserve and it was a tough night for the selectors, with 33 available and qualified players to play. That number would have been more if not for some recently changed rules by the VAFA which prevents several regulars from taking the field.

The Rovers have a good side in and are a chance to pull off an upset victory. Coach Sam Care is confident of a strong performance.

We encourage all supporters to get along and cheer on the boys as they look to qualify for the season decider. Wear you green & gold and see you at Elsternwick Park! Entry to the ground is $12 for adults and $6 for concession. Car parking inside the ground is $5.
