Four Hampton Rovers players have been selected in the VAFA C-D4 Representative squad to take on the VCFL Districts Side at Elsternwick Park on Sunday 8th June.
Gary Carr, Leigh Fletcher, Matt Lawrence and Ryan Semmel have all been selected for the initial training squad.
The two sides will compete for the Cystic Fibrosis Cup and it will be the first time the VAFA and VCFL have met at this level. Next year the VAFA and VCFL will play each other at Senior, C-D4/Districts and U19 level.
The Senior Victorian Team will play AFL Sydney in Sydney on Sunday June 8th. It will be the first time the two associations have met at this level since 1938. Meanwhile the U19 Victorian side travels to Brisbane on Saturday June 7th to play AFL Queensland’s U21 side for the third year running.
